Matrikon OPC Simulation Server

The OPC Simulation Server is a complimentary tool that generates simulated OPC DA, OPC HDA, and OPC A&E data to help with testing OPC clients. Matrikon OPC Simulation Server is a free tool designed for developers, integrators, and others working with OPC. It helps in testing and troubleshooting OPC applications and connections without risking live production data. Testing on active OPC servers can sometimes cause data loss, but this tool simulates the environment, ensuring no real process data is impacted. It’s free for non-production use only; for licensed production environments, Matrikon OPC Funnel or OPC Desktop Historian is recommended.

Software Requirements

The following software is required:
Microsoft Windows 7, or Microsoft Windows 10, or Windows 11, or Microsoft Windows Server 2008, or Microsoft Windows Server 2012, or Microsoft Windows Server 2016, or Microsoft Windows Server 2019, or Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Microsoft .NET Framework
On Microsoft Windows 7 and 2008, the Matrikon OPC installation package will automatically install the required Dot Net framework.
On Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 2012, and higher, Microsoft Dot Net 3.5 will need to be installed manually by the user before the OPC server can be installed.
