Water leaks that go undetected can lead to major damage and equipment replacement costs. The XW-112 is a simple and effective way to detect potential leaks. With it, you can monitor for water leaks around water heaters and in server rooms, bathrooms, and areas near water tanks or pipes. The XW-112 is a self-contained device that doesn’t require any additional equipment or software to run—all you need is a local router to enable email notifications.

Equipment Monitoring

The below illustration shows how you could use the XW-112 to monitor for water leakage in a server room. In this example, the XW-112 is mounted in a dry area near the source of water, above the water pipes to ensure it remains dry in the event of a leak. The sensor is mounted on the ground where water would most likely accumulate.

Once mounted, the next step is to set up the XW-112 using its simple web-based dashboard. Connect to the local WiFi network and input all the information required for email notifications. Since the XW-112 isn’t dependent on cloud services or servers, it is necessary to input an email server name, login, password, etc.
