The project involved upgrading the PI High Availability (HA) servers, including both the operating system and PI software, to the latest supported versions. EMI also migrated and upgraded all PI interfaces to improve data acquisition capabilities while incorporating critical security patches to safeguard against evolving cyber threats. To maintain data integrity during this transition, PI buffering was carefully configured and tested. A major focus was on deploying and configuring PI Asset Framework (AF) and PI Vision modules to provide advanced data contextualization and visualization capabilities tailored to Dolphin Energy’s operational requirements.
EMI developed custom PI Vision displays and constructed a detailed AF hierarchy to empower operators and engineers with enhanced asset management and insight. Comprehensive training was provided to Dolphin Energy’s staff, accompanied by rigorous system testing to validate performance and reliability. The successful migration was achieved with zero downtime, preserving continuous operations throughout the upgrade. The result was a significantly more secure and performant PI System, enhanced real-time visualization, and improved asset management capabilities—all delivered with full client satisfaction. | ![]() |
