Graphics Development and Deployment
Between 2022 and 2023, EMI was awarded to develop and deploy a significant number of PI ProcessBook (PB) graphics for multiple ADNOC plants including ASAB, SHAH, QUSAHWIRA, and NEB in the UAE. The project focused on creating detailed, plant-specific graphics customized to the operational needs of each facility, ensuring precise representation of processes. EMI worked closely with plant teams during onsite deployment phases to integrate the graphics seamlessly with existing PI Systems.

The project also involved conducting thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with plant users to validate the functionality, accuracy, and usability of the graphics. EMI captured user feedback during UAT to make final adjustments, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with operational requirements. This initiative significantly enhanced the operational monitoring capabilities and visual control across the ADNOC plants. Challenges included managing the large volume of graphics across dispersed sites, maintaining graphical consistency and accuracy tailored to specific plants, and coordinating deployment and real-time UAT with active operations teams. EMI’s solutions leveraged expert graphics developers, close collaboration with plant personnel, and rigorous UAT sessions to deliver a comprehensive suite of user-friendly PI ProcessBook graphics. The project culminated in successful deployment and positive user feedback, strengthening operational visibility and control.
