MEFSCO PI System InstallationIn 2021, EMI was selected to deliver a comprehensive PI System installation for MEFSCO, a major food and beverage manufacturer in Saudi Arabia. The project involved full lifecycle setup including server installation, configuration, data acquisition interfaces, and client deployment. EMI ensured the PI Server archives were properly sized and backup procedures implemented to maintain data integrity and system stability |
A key part of the implementation was integrating the PI System with MEFSCO’s OPC Server for real-time data collection. Rigorous validation ensured data flowed reliably from process control to the PI environment. Buffering mechanisms were configured to prevent data loss during network or hardware interruptions.
EMI also developed customized reports and dashboards tailored to MEFSCO’s production and maintenance needs. These tools enhanced visibility into operations across multiple units, supporting decision-making and process optimization. Client software and management tools were installed to facilitate system use and centralized control. The outcome was a stable, scalable PI System providing reliable real-time monitoring and reporting, improving operational efficiency and supporting MEFSCO’s digital transformation.
