NATPET PI MigrationIn 2023, EMI undertook a critical project for NATPET to upgrade and migrate their existing PI OPC HDA interfaces to the latest versions, ensuring full adherence to cybersecurity standards defined by OSI and NATPET. The project demanded meticulous planning and execution, as any downtime could have severely impacted critical processes such as Polypropylene (PP) and Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH). EMI carried out precise Windows OS-level modifications to support the new interfaces, installed and configured upgraded PI OPC HDA nodes, and migrated existing interface configurations without disrupting ongoing operations. |
Throughout the project, cybersecurity policies were strictly enforced, and advanced system management tools were implemented to enhance monitoring and control. Rigorous Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) was conducted to validate data flow integrity and optimize buffering, guaranteeing that no data loss occurred during the migration.
