ADNOC Implementation of PI Vision & PI Asset Framework Between 2022 and 2023, EMI was awarded to lead the migration and modernization of the PI System user interface and asset management framework for ADNOC Onshore sites in the UAE. The project involved migrating about 7,200 legacy PI ProcessBook graphics to PI Vision, developing a scalable PI Asset Framework (AF) hierarchy, and delivering user training and system testing. |
EMI conducted workshops to gather user requirements, coordinated onsite and offsite work, and performed thorough testing including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to ensure data accuracy and system reliability. The solution improved data management by linking PI Vision displays to the AF hierarchy and provided detailed documentation for future maintenance. Challenges included handling complex migrations, mapping thousands of tags into AF attributes, coordinating geographically dispersed teams, and ensuring smooth user adoption through training.The project delivered a modernized PI Vision interface, improved asset data accessibility, enhanced operational efficiency, and received full client acceptance with positive feedback.
