ADNOC Real Time Services

In 2021, EMI was selected to deliver specialized PI System services for ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) in the UAE. The project was focused on enhancing ADNOC’s real-time data capabilities to provide better operational insights and support data-driven decision-making. This involved implementing a comprehensive PI Asset Framework (AF) hierarchy to organize and contextualize complex data streams from multiple operational sources.

The scope also included configuring and optimizing real-time PI Historian products to ensure reliable data collection and historization, integrating diverse data flows into a unified system, and performing proactive system maintenance to maximize uptime. EMI developed automated reporting and analytics tools to streamline operational and strategic decisions based on real-time and historical data.

Throughout the project, EMI faced the challenge of aligning ADNOC’s PI System architecture with OSIsoft’s recommended best practices while managing complex real-time data integration across multiple operational units. EMI’s solution ensured continuous system availability and improved reliability during enhancements, delivering a robust, scalable PI infrastructure tailored to ADNOC’s needs.
