Onsite PI System Support & Enhancement Services 

In 2022, EMI extended its partnership with QAPCO through a structured onsite support program aimed at sustaining and continuously improving the company's AVEVA PI System infrastructure. The goal was not only to ensure system stability but also to expand functionality, introduce new capabilities, and align the system with evolving operational and cybersecurity standards.

As part of this engagement, EMI deployed skilled PI engineers to work directly at QAPCO’s facilities. These specialists supported a wide range of activities—from routine maintenance and tag updates to more complex initiatives such as interface installations, dashboard design in PI Vision, performance tuning, and implementation of advanced analytical features using AF, ACE, and Event Frames.

Given the dynamic nature of plant operations and the continual changes in process control systems, EMI’s role extended beyond reactive support. The team proactively reviewed system health, optimized data structures, deployed security patches, and configured essential tools like PI Notifications, Data Access, and BI connectors to enhance integration with business intelligence systems. EMI’s flexible support model ensured that QAPCO could count on rapid response to any onsite issues, while also receiving strategic technical consulting to future-proof their PI architecture. This collaborative, hands-on approach provided QAPCO with peace of mind and a strong foundation for digital operations moving forward.
